Richard McDonald.

Richard studied physical therapy for over 4 years and graduated with a B.Sc degree in Applied health science and physical therapy from The Institute of Physical Therapy and Applied Science, and is registered on the Physiotherapists Registration Board of CORU, the governing body for Health Care Professionals in Ireland.
He also holds a Masters degree in Sports Medicine (M.Sc Sports Med) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine from the University of South Wales.
Richard treats all types of soft tissue injuries, including post-operative injuries such as Knee ACL’s and shoulder dislocation, and is also certified in Dry Needling. He currently teaches dry needling to other physios and therapists from all over the country through his dry needling school, Dry Needling Ireland.
Richard’s main aim is to keep people active, by educating people through rehabilitation to ensure that injury does not re-occur.
A keen sportsman, Richard has experience of many sports injuries as well as day to day injuries both acute and chronic. He is currently working with Terenure College RFC senior 1st XV team playing in the All Ireland League Division 1A. He also works with St Marys’s College RFC 2nd XV team.
In the past, Richard has worked with Ballyboden GAA and covered the Kildare Senior hurling team from time to time, aswell as Blackrock College RFC Women’s Rugby Team.
Richard also operates out of his sister clinic PPT Clinic in Terenure.
